DR. BENJAMIN UHL
OPTOMETRIST & OWNER
Ben Uhl is a Optometrist and Owner of Sergeant Bluff Eyecare. In this role, Dr. Uhl is responsible for all aspects of the clinic and its success by providing all aspects of clinical care, providing the best care for your eyes and your sight. A big believer in customer experience and customer service, he feels that clinical excellence should be expected and what differentiates Sergeant Bluff Eyecare from other clinics is the great experience that a visit provides.
He holds a B.S. from Iowa State University and a Doctor of Optometry degree University of Houston College of Optometry.
Between his time at Iowa State University and University of Houston, he spent four years in the US Army as an Air Defense Artillery Officer and was deployed for nine months in support of Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom. As a member of the Army Reserves, Dr. Uhl was deployed for one year as an Optometrist. Currently, he is serving in the Iowa Air National Guard.
In Dr. Uhl's spare time he enjoys all sports, specifically the Iowa State Cyclones and the Atlanta Braves. He spends all his free time with his wife, Sarah and his children Drew, Elise and Lillian.
DR. TYLER LEFEBER
OPTOMETRIST
Tyler Lefeber is a Optometrist with Sergeant Bluff EyeCare. In this role, Dr. Lefeber is responsible for providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages. A big believer in providing the very best for his patients on both a personal and professional level, he feels that every patient deserves a personalized approach for their care.
Tyler holds a B.S. in Biology from Buena Vista University and a Doctor of Optometry Degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.
In his spare time Tyler and his wife, Jana, love spending time outdoors, traveling, as well as watching and playing sports.
DR. ZACHARY LANCASTER
OPTOMETRIST
Dr. Zachary Lancaster earned a Bachelor of Science from Simpson College in Indianola, IA and then went on to receive his doctorate from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.
Dr. Lancaster is an active member of both the Iowa Optometric Association (IOA) and the American Optometric Association (AOA). In 2023, he was named the IOA Young Optometrist of the Year. He currently serves on the IOA Membership Committee, has successfully completed both the IOA Leadership Program and the AOA Leadership Institute, and served on the AOA Student Planning Committee.
He currently serves on the Le Mars Community School Board, Le Mars Community Schools Foundation Board, and Le Mars Bible Church. He is also the Public Address Announcer for the Le Mars Community High School football and baseball teams.
He resides in his hometown of Le Mars with his wife, Michelle, and their son, Easton. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is an avid sports fan.
